LNG Project on Hope Island?

LNG tankers are now being built up to 1100' long - People may remember the Queen Elizabeth II (963' long) in Portland or the JFK (1052' long).

TransCanada will not give us their conceptual drawings for the site so the map to the left is one scenario done by the Town Manager for locating the two14 story tanks and other buildings. These tanks could very well be located anywhere on Hope Island.
